These two buildings are in one of the most beautifull place of Ortigia, and consequently of Sicily, as the "Scoglio" of Siracusa, as worldwide opinion has the delight of the landscape and the mistery of the mytes of this unique land. The Hotel des Etrangers and the Miramare, its neighbour, linked by a low building, come forward on the “Passeggio Adorno” and watch from one side the large belvedere and Fonte Aretusa.
Near the Dome square, with an irregular plant, respecting the middle age form of the city, there is the Hotel des Etrangers at Miramare, beautiful five floors structure, with stone’s and wrought iron balconies and the large front door.
The Style and the plan remember the city heritage of the beginning of the twentieth century, with the neoclassical taste typical of Sicily. Inside, the hotel has precious marble’s floor, walls and ceiling enriched with stucco works and golden friezes’, the Jupiter, Medusa, Gelone and Aretusa faces, welcome the Guests arriving in hotel, lighted by an old bronze chandelier aged more than hundred years.
Rooms are charming, well furnished and with the most updated technologies. The majority have sea view on Porto Grande. They all have independent air conditioning system, minibar, direct telephone line, safe deposit box, Satellite TV. The hotel has room service, laundry service and handicapped rooms.
